The Marr Residence is the oldest building in Saskatoon which is still on it's original site. The house was built in 1884 by Sandy Marr. In 1885 the house served as a field hospital (during the Riel Rebellion). The present owner is the City of Saskatoon, who granted municipal designation as a heritage site in 1982.

| Thur, Jul 1st | Dominion Day Celebrations (1:00pm & 4:30pm ) Young and old alike are invited to the Marr Residence for an old fashioned Dominion Day Celebration. Stop by for a fabulous afternoon of games, entertainment and refreshments. |

The Saskatoon Field Hospital - Re-enactment (Noon - 5:00pm) As teh events of 1885 came to an end, so too did the need for teh Saskatoon Field Hospital. This special re-enactment event marks the day the field Hospital was decommissioned, July 4th, 1885. The event will feature field hospital (bell) tents, soldiers and nurses in uniform and costumed interpreters playing the part of the Marr family retruning to their home. The Re-enactment (cont'd) afternoon will also include fiddle music and children's activities with refresments available. |
